We have developed face recognition software which is able to detect faces in large crowds. After the detection process each face is compared against a central Face Database. The ultimate goal of this project is to recognize specific people in order to take the appropriate measures in case of a match.
At the moment we are working on a use case where a football club wants to check its stadium for the presence of football fans with a stadium ban. The first challenge is to detect the faces in a large and sometimes under lit stadium. The second challenge is to quickly process all those faces by trying to match each face in the connected database. Of course software for face detection and recognition is not new, but creating a stable, reliable and fast solution that can recognize faces in live capture video is still a difficult challenge for many developers. We are certain however that our software will meet this challenge. This technology and software is also applicable to many other scenarios. For example, in order to be able to recognize specific people from video images of cams located on streets, train stations or shopping malls. Furthermore there are possibilities to use this technology for payment systems.
